What is Harvest Quality Vision?
HQV is an advanced computer-vision AI system that has been developed in-house by Croptracker over the past 4 years. We are currently on the third version of HQV and you can get started with a single mobile device!
Croptracker's Harvest Quality Vision is highly accurate. Using advanced sensors and state of the art computer vision algorithms, this technology is able to accurately measure the size and color of your crops. Taking advantage of LiDAR technology already built into iPad and iPhone devices, anyone can easily scan fruits of all sizes and shapes, and receive highly accurate results in seconds - without the need for a full bin of fruit, or a ping pong ball in the image for reference.
Starting with a single mobile device, growers and packers are able to scan harvested product anywhere, including the orchard and the field. Scans only take 30 seconds and provide active feedback about what has been captured. These scans can be taken without an internet connection and uploaded when you are back in range. Results are returned within just a few seconds, ensuring that you're able to make informed decisions about your harvest. Get real time updates on what is being harvested out in the orchard, compare them to custom color profiles of buyer requirements, and eliminate the need for presizing.
Harvest Quality Vision Sizes Pears Accurately
Pears provide a unique challenge for AI sizing with their irregular shapes, which can be difficult to size and may differ widely between varieties, and even between individual fruits in one bin! Because of these challenges, modern and cost effective sizing for pears has not been highly supported in agtech - until now.

HQV 3.0 is able to produce highly accurate size data from scans. After extensive testing, HQV 3.0 has demonstrated time and again its precision, measuring accurately to the millimeter range (accurate to 0.97 mm/0.04 in).
Approximately 20,000 pears were tested and achieved an average 99.10% accuracy over 5 size bands.
